Instagram Sketches

The last few days I've been going on youtube and reteaching myself how to draw. I originally learned to draw on my own and never had any real training as most artists do it. Even though I went to art college, no one really taught me facial and body anatomy. Only in the last month have I understood what painters are measuring when they hold out their brush to measure the model in front of them with one eye closed. Stuff I should have learned years ago, I'm finally finding out about to help me make my artwork better. So I'm applying what I'm learning and sketching a bunch to put these techniques into practice. Today I'm going to try and paint some test faces as I'm so excited to get better. Hope you guys like these shots of characters from my favourite Tim Burton movies.
