The Father of Dia de los Muertos Art

José Guadalupe Posada, he is a Mexican artist whose work would become most associated with the Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), he passed away penniless today in 1913. He was later buried in an unmarked grave. It was another 10 years before he'd become famous for his "calaveras", political illustrations featuring skulls and skeletons.
