Daughters :: You Won't Get What You Want

Of all the albums released this year, I think Daughters made my favorite one for 2018. Canada Songs (2003) and Hell Songs (2006) never left my playlists since they came out. Daughters has always been a metal band doing something different, more specific, instead of having a generic metal sound. This new album involves the insanity of their previous works but in a more 'structured' way, stretching out parts instead of flying through them like their earlier works (Every song on Canada Songs is less than 2min long). I'm a huge fan of this new Daughters album and loving how their sound and songwriting has matured without losing who they were, or without just regurgitating more of the same. Very inspiring from a creative standpoint.
