2014: Moved to California!

You probably already know our backstory by now: We started printing single tshirts in the spare bedroom of our Montreal (Canada) apartment back in 2008. Since then we grew the company year-by-year to where we moved all our production and warehousing to California to support the 100 stores internationally carrying our products.

In 2013 we made a very important decision to move ourselves to California so that we could oversee production and possibly warehouse/ship our own merch.

In early 2014, after months of applying and waiting for our visa to be accepted, we finally got it! By being in California we'll be able to expand our future collections further while being more accessible to our customers, and promoting the brand a lot more across the country.

The photo below is us (Aldora + Joey) at the airport with the only luggages we took with us to start our new life in California. We literally sold and donated everything we owned to Goodwill in the hopes that Akumu Ink could be successful in the US.
