DIY Akumu Ink Wall Art

You can find different ways online of recycling your tshirts to turn into wall art. I tried to find the less destructive and obtrusive method so that if you wanted to you could actually wear the shirt again in the future.

Step 1. Get your favourite Akumu Ink tshirt.

Step 2. Cut a cardboard to the size of your frame (my frame happens to almost be the exact size of the design) diy tshirt art, diy tshirt canvas, tshirt wall art, tshirt canvas, tshirt frame, diy art frame, diy wall art, custom wall art, diy tshirt, diy art

Step 3. Fold the shirt over the cardboard and pin it to the cardboard using sewing pins. Add as many pins as necessary so the image is nice and tight over the cardboard.

Step 4. If you don't have a frame you can stop at this stage and either put this piece on a shelf. Or you could pin it to the wall. Without pinning into the tshirt and cardboard use 2 push pins to create a shelf to rest the piece on, and use another 2 push pins to secure the top of the piece from falling forward. diy tshirt art, diy tshirt canvas, tshirt wall art, tshirt canvas, tshirt frame, diy art frame, diy wall art, custom wall art, diy tshirt, diy art

Step 5. If you do have a frame now you can fit the artwork into it. Once done just hang it on your wall and enjoy! diy tshirt art, diy tshirt canvas, tshirt wall art, tshirt canvas, tshirt frame, diy art frame, diy wall art, custom wall art, diy tshirt, diy art
