As someone who has been inspired by Murakami's work for years (I was also lucky enough to see his previous exhibition in Vancouver, Canada), I can only hope to achieve a fraction of what he has accomplished. His pieces continue to push the boundaries of art and creativity, making him a true visionary in the world of contemporary art.
If you're looking to experience the wonder of Takashi Murakami's art for yourself, be sure to check out his upcoming exhibitions or find him on instagram to see more of his incredible work. You won't be disappointed.

The guitars on Crimes are nothing short of brilliant. The band utilizes a wide array of guitar techniques, ranging from intricate and experimental riffing to more traditional punk-style chords. The band also makes great use of feedback and other effects to create a rich and layered soundscape.
Overall, Crimes is an incredible album that showcases the talents of The Blood Brothers. The album is an absolute must-listen and is sure to please any fan of modern rock.
I was lucky enough to have attended their concert in Montreal in the early 2000s. The energy and atmosphere was electric, and the band was incredible. The Blood Brothers' sound was powerful and dynamic. Each song was a journey, and the audience was taken on a roller coaster of emotion. The band interacted with the crowd and delivered a high-energy show that left everyone in the room feeling energized and elated. Their stage presence was captivating, and their sound was truly unique. It was an unforgettable experience!

The album starts off with the explosive āConcubineā, which is a perfect example of Convergeās intense and innovative sound. The drums and guitars combine to create an intense wall of sound while the vocals add a layer of intensity to the song. The next track, āFault and Fractureā, continues the intensity of the album with its mid-tempo pace and heavy riffs. The song also has a great melodic section that gives it a more melodic feel. The next song, āThe Broken Vowā, is a more melodic track with a great chorus and some interesting guitar work. It is a great example of Convergeās ability to combine melody and aggression in the same song. āHeaven in Her Armsā is another standout track that has a great guitar riff and some very intense vocals. The song also has some great drumming which adds to the intensity of the song.
Jane Doe by Converge is an absolute masterpiece in musical construction. It was my first introduction to the genre of metalcore and I was completely blown away by its sheer intensity. Every song is a sonic roller-coaster ride, with jarring riffs and intricate drumming cascading in an unpredictable but perfectly balanced way. The production is top-notch, with the instruments sounding loud and clear but still managing to retain a raw, abrasive edge. Vocally, Jane Doe is a tour de force. Vocalist Jacob Bannon's lyrics are delivered with an impressive range and a passionate delivery that just adds to the intensity of the music. His screams are absolutely brutal and have a way of cutting through the mix to leave a lasting impression. Jane Doe is an absolute classic of metalcore and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an intense and memorable musical experience.

]]>A few weeks to a month later, the second batch of books arrived. This time only 1/3 of the books were good enough to send to customers that had pre-ordered through Kickstarter, but the rest had the same bad quality and were returned to the printer. Let's just say that after that moment we ended our relationship with the printer.
After that we were able to find a new printer and have the correct amount of books printed, in which every copy was in perfect condition. Not so hard right?
By the end of 2015 we were finally able to share our little story of our Akumu Ink characters going on an adventure together. We sold out of the hardcover version within 2 years, but we recently released a softcover version and a redesigned 15 YEAR ANNIVERSARY version.
The experience of making the book the way we did was very stressful, with expectations from the kickstarter backers to have the book completed and shipped by a certain date. In the end everything was shipped out in a timely manner to everyone who backed our project.
The good thing was knowing that we had enough sales to make the book a possibility. It was a great way to see that there was interest in our weird ideas other than just t-shirts. It allowed us to step out of our comfort zones as just a "t-shirt company" and show that we could be more. In working on the book, Joey was able to use more than 3 colours (back then we would only use 1-3 colours for a t-shirt design) and create a world around our characters, and for Aldora to not just be the "business person," and actually show off her creativity as a writer and storyteller). This little 12-page storybook changed us forever, and we appreciate all those who supported it at the time to allow us to grow into the brand we are now.
Below is an image of some scratchboard art I made for special top-tiered Kickstarter backers:
